Entering 9th grade-The Beginning of the End.

My name is Sqwrcene Davis, the founder of the Faces of Youth Organization. www.facesofyouth.org

The organization is based on working with teens and helping them cope with all the things that they deal with every day.  The teen group that we work with is an awesome bunch of kids. They are respectful, funny and enjoy all of the programs that FOY is currently running.

However what are Teens really thinking?

What are they going through at home? At school?  With Parents?  With Relationships?

I don’t know, or maybe I DO.

As a parent of a teen, I know most teens don’t think their parents have a flying clue on what’s going on with them.  Teens don’t think you know what it’s like being a teen.  Somehow we are old farts who were never teens.

THIS BLOG IS TO LET ALL YOU TEENAGERS KNOW MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES WHEN I WAS A TEEN!!!!

The beginning of the end of being treated like a child,  that what I thought high school would be like. And I was sorta right.

1984 - Sometime at the end of August,  Murray Wright High School, Detroit MI
9th Grade – I start high school.  Although there were kids there from my middle school, I did not know many kids.  I was not very popular. …. Tbc- to be continued.
